Security Assessments
Ship Security Assessment (SSA):
This is the start point of the process.
A ship security assessment includes a real-time threat assessment
and an on-site ship security assessment. To comply with the ISPS
requirements, the Ship Security Assessment must be performed individually
on board each vessel, as it is the basis for each vessel’s
ship security plan. It is a process that addresses basic issues,
and the report highlights strengths and weaknesses.
Company Security Assessment (CSA):
The company security assessment evaluates
the company’s security organization, processes and procedures
as they relate to ISPS-Code compliance and the required interface
with vessel security assessment and subsequent plan production.
The Company Security Assessment includes the company’s security
interface with the vessel with respect to crewing, cargo/chartering,
vendors, operations and the port facility. As part of the Company
Security Assessment the company will review the completed Ship Security
Assessment for each vessel in the fleet and determine what security
measures must be implemented on each vessel. HudsonTrident will
explore with the company additional or alternative security measures
that, in our view, should be adopted. With the Company Security
Assessment in hand, we will proceed with the writing of the Ship
Security Plan and the Company Security Plan.
Port Facility Security Assessment
(PFSA):
The Port Facility Security Assessment includes
a real-time threat assessment and an on-site Port Facility Security
Assessment. To comply with ISPS requirements, the Port Facility
Security Assessment must be performed for each facility and is the
basis for the Port Facility Security Plan.
