The half-day maritime security awareness course
(MSA) has been developed to provide crew members with basic security
knowledge.
Course Outline
The student is presented with an introduction
to each of the following areas:
The Threat and Threat Scenarios
Requirements for Ship or Port Security
Understanding the Role of the SSO/PFSO
Course Certification
Participants are given an examination at the end
of the session to confirm their thorough understanding of the course
material. The training culminates in the awarding of certificates
of completion, which specify that training received was in compliance
with IMO requirements.
